The NEC Wheelchair Singles Finals and UNIQLO Wheelchair Doubles Finals take place from 9-15 November. But what are the NEC Wheelchair Singles Finals and the UNIQLO Wheelchair Doubles Finals exactly? Here is your one-stop guide:

  • The NEC Wheelchair Singles Finals and the UNIQLO Wheelchair Doubles Finals are our prestigious, season-ending championships for wheelchair tennis. They are two standalone tournaments – one featuring singles competition and the other doubles – held on the same site. They bring together the best wheelchair tennis players in the world.

  • Is it possible to watch the NEC Wheelchair Singles Finals and UNIQLO Wheelchair Doubles Finals? Yes, through our wheelchair tennis livestreaming platform. Watch here.

  • Who qualifies for the NEC Wheelchair Singles Finals? The top eight-ranked men’s singles, women’s singles and quad singles players in the UNIQLO Wheelchair Tennis Tour Rankings (as of 28 September 2026, the rankings cut-off).

  • Who qualifies for the UNIQLO Wheelchair Doubles Finals? The top six-ranked men’s pairings, women’s pairings and quad pairings in the UNIQLO Wheelchair Tennis Tour Rankings (as of 28 September 2026, the rankings cut-off).

  • This is the first year in which the season-ending competitions will be known as the Finals. Previously they were known as the Wheelchair Masters, although the new name better reflects the events’ positions at the top of the wheelchair tennis competition pathway.

  • The 2026 NEC Wheelchair Singles Finals and UNIQLO Wheelchair Doubles Finals will take place in Barcelona for the second time in four years. Centre Internacional de Tennis de Cornella is the 2026 venue.

  • This will be the first time the Centre Internacional de Tennis de Cornellà has hosted a wheelchair tennis event. The venue has a strong recent history of hosting tennis events in Europe and serves as the performance headquarters of the Catalan Tennis Federation.

  • Hosted by the Catalan Tennis Federation, the events will feature many of the biggest names in wheelchair tennis, including Alfie Hewett (GBR), Yui Kamiji (JPN), Diede de Groot (NED), Niels Vink (NED) and Sam Schroder (NED). A full entry list will appear here.

  • Time for a bit of history. The NEC Wheelchair Singles Finals were first held in Eindhoven in 1994. In 2011, they were held outside the Netherlands for the first time and have since been hosted in Belgium, China, Great Britain, the United States and Spain. NEC has been title sponsor of the singles event since its inception in 1994.

  • The first Doubles Finals took place in 2000 alongside the NEC Wheelchair Singles Masters in Amersfoort, Netherlands. The Doubles became a standalone event in 2003 and has been hosted in five different countries. UNIQLO became its title sponsor in 2014.

  • The 2026 Wheelchair Finals take place during a landmark year for wheelchair tennis, as the sport celebrates its 50th anniversary. The milestone marks five decades since Brad Parks founded the sport in California in 1976.

  • Since then, World Tennis has invested heavily in the development of wheelchair tennis and, in 1998, became the first international sports federation to fully integrate the wheelchair discipline into its governance structure and wider activities.
